RAF Feltwell Crib Pt. 1

Good Morning from the Lakenheath base library!

I have had so much fun planning this morning. However, lesson plan binder covers on Teachers Pay Teachers definitely distracted me! This is the one I ended up picking.

Another distraction? Dancing in my seat to the Glee Mash Up Pandora station. It is extremely difficult not to sing out loud!

FYI: Foodie Friday will be next week. We didn’t travel anywhere this week but to school and home. We are going to a pub this evening for some music and cider. Oh, and Paris in two weeks! I know I will have some delicious pictures then, for sure.

So to replace food, I picked the next best: my home. We call it the Felton ( Feltwell Base + Hilton = Felton. I hate the word “dorm”, but in all reality it is a dorm. We are the only ones that live in it though. It is two-story. We have a kitchen, living room, bathroom with four toilets and four showers and four sinks, and each have our own room.

Here are some pictures from school this week…

And for some random thoughts…

More exciting, yet nerve-racking news: The Dean of the College of Ed at Oklahoma State, Dr. Pamela “Sissi” Carroll, is traveling across the pond at the end of October to observe the five of us teaching! We are all very excited to spend the week with her and of course, her signature on our awesome evals is going to be once in a lifetime. However, the DEAN IS COMING TO OBSERVE US!!!! Ah! Talk about anxiety and stress to make sure we are on our game. Dr. “Daddy” Davis talked us up when he went back, she couldn’t resist ;o).

Hope y’all are enjoying your weekend! I hear the weather is getting colder over there! It is freezing here! Not really, but I feel silly wearing huge sweaters in September. We will be freezing our rears off in Ireland in November!

Did you know we are about in line with Alaska? Crazy!

love y’all!

Currently, we are celebrating our fourth year of marriage. When I married Patrick, I knew it was going to be a roller coaster of an adventure. However, little did I know, we would spend more time on a plane than in our home. We are beyond excited to share our adventures of soil science, developing countries, our move up north, teaching endeavors, special education, training for our runs and tid bits of our life. Here is our stories of a PhD student and teacher attempting to stay above average, so hang with us!
